Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad (CUCEK) is a well-established college under the affiliation of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). All the programs are admitted on the basis of CUSAT CAT scores. The approved intake for all B.Tech programs is 60 seats each, with Computer Science and Engineering having a greater intake of 120 seats.
MCA: The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course in CUCEK has a sanctioned strength of 60 seats. Admission to the MCA course is also on the merit of the CUSAT CAT scores. A bachelor's degree in any related field is required for the suitability of the candidate for the MCA course.
Rigorous academics. Every week some or the other assignments and a continuous evaluation throughout the semester. Before the marine semester exam, there is also a mid-term exam. Presentations were also being done once a month.
The faculty is on par with the Main Campus. The syllabus gets updated every 3 years. Currently more focus is given on practical knowledge but still has room to improve. I studied IT, it was easier compared to other fields.
EEE branch is very good and academics of EEE is very practised here. You will surely get some pressure from teachers but you will learn how to learn and do good under pressure and for other branches all things are good. I would not recommend this college for CIVIL ENGINEERING . Very poor quality only soem teachers are good and the labs are also not available fully. So better you go for 1ST CAMPUS. And PLZZ don't comapre with 1st campus. All have their own pros. & Cons.
Hello,
Cochin University College of Engineering was established in 1999 under the aegis of the University. It is situated in a serene and beautiful 42-acre campus in Pulincunnoo, Kannady.
The main reason for not opting it as a choice is because of it is situated far away from Kochi in village. When you are going there for you first time you will face a lot of difficulties. But if you are settled there then there will not be any problem. You will enjoy the natural beauty of kerala(gods own land), free from any kind of pollution.
Hope this helps!!!
