Coimbatore Marine College was started in 2001 and is an affiliated college situated in Coimbatore/ Tamil Nadu. Located on a large plot of land of about 10 acres, this institution offers its students marine engineering and nautical science. There are 7 courses available in 5 undergraduate programmes with the main fields of a maritime industry, logistics, and hotel and restaurant business. The faculty members of Coimbatore Marine College are 23 in number; the college is dedicated to offer standard education in the marine field.

The B.Tech in Marine Engineering and the B.Sc in Nautical Science are flagship programmes, which aims at producing highly skilled professional to serve within the maritime sector. Also, BBA and MBA in Logistics and Shipping management are available in the college to quench the thirst of the marine part’s management. For marine courses offered at Coimbatore Marine College, the admission criterion differs from the other courses. Candidates applying for the B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science seats must successfully write the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET). Gaining admission to these marine courses is usually reliant on passing this entrance exam.
