College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Achloli, Mahad, came into existence in the year 2013 and is a unique college involved in the offering of agricultural courses in Maharashtra, India. Situated in Raigad, this college provides the students with a unique stream in agricultural sciences. Learners at the institute can pursue their education in a proper environment since the campus occupies 50 acres of land. The college has the strength of 121 students and 6 faculty members at this time. It offers only one degree programme, B.Sc. Agriculture, and the programme has an approval for enrolment of forty (40) students per year. The establishment, therefore, embraces the offering of a specific agricultural course and the practical nature present within the schooling system. 

In this College of Agricultural Biotechnology, students carry out their learning process with learning resources and other facilities to improve on. The campus has well-equipped laboratories, enabling the student to practice most of the functions of agricultural biotechnology. In this system, students and faculties’ need for a reference library forms a comprehensive knowledge base. For the physical fitness and recreation facilities, a gymnasium and sports grounds for kho-kho, volleyball, and kabaddi are available in the college.

This college also focuses on standards of student care with a health centre that has had first aid facilities. Since the institution hosts students of different genders, it has designated different hostels for boys and girls to give comfort to the students who prefer to live in the institution. So far, the College of Agricultural Biotechnology concerns a quality education need in agricultural sciences fields. 

The institution has only one full-time programme, the B.Sc. Agriculture programme, and is of four years’ duration. This programme is aimed at helping students gain knowledge of agriculture, biotechnology, and other related fields. This college takes an enrolment of forty students for each course, and thus the faculty makes sure it provides students with personalised services they need. The current total number of students in all the years reaches 121, which also reflects sufficient enrolment.

The college offers its B.Sc. Agriculture through admission based on the scores of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) only. Also, the college takes into account other national-level tests like JEE Main, NEET, and ICAR AIEEA for the purpose of admissions. It is important to mention that all students who wish to get admission to this university should have passed their 12th standard with physics, chemistry, and biology or mathematics.
