The College of Agricultural Engineering was established in 1983 at Rajendranagar, Andhra Pradesh, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. College of Agricultural Engineering, Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Rajendranagar, is one of the eminent organizations formed in 1983, which is engaged in the advancement of agricultural engineering and technology education. Admission of capable and keen students is conducted through the admission process of ANGRAU. Generally, the academic year in ANGRAU starts in August-September; however, admissions usually commence some months prior to the beginning of the academic year. The college of agriculture accepts applications through different speed channels for its respective courses at different levels and specializations. The undergraduate admission process is based on the student's performance in qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) and for postgraduates, entrance examinations may additionally be taken, or selections made based on merit.
The minimum qualifying criterion for the undergraduate program is successful completion of 10+2 or examination equivalent, with required subjects. Secured a minimum OGPA of 5.50/10.00 (5.00/10.00 for SC/ST) or 2.50/4.00 (2.00/4.00 for SC/ST) or 50% marks in traditional system (40% for SC/ST) in qualifying examination and sought to pursue a B.Tech program in Agricultural Engineering and Technology and Food Science and Engineering, must have fulfilled these. The postgraduate eligibility criteria vary depending on specificity with regard to course selection. In general, it is required that, with the relevant field of study, a bachelorís degree has been completed from a recognized university, fulfilling overall minimum marks/CGPAs required.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: The two B.Tech courses offered by the College of Agricultural Engineering are Agricultural Engineering and Technology, and Food Science and Engineering. Both programs are of 90 students each and admission is based on the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent). Candidates must fulfill the minimum OGPA/ percentage criteria laid down under eligibility requirements.
M.Tech: The college offers three M.Tech programs, Agricultural Process and Food Engineering (5 seats), Farm Machinery and Power Engineering (3 seats), and Soil and Water Engineering (3 seats). In addition, 25% of the total seats will be allocated for the enrollment process of M.Tech students in Soil and Water Engineering from states other than Andhra Pradesh through All India Entrance Examination as have been conducted by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). Normally, this entrance will be held during the periods between May and June, which are published in March.
Diploma: A Diploma in Agriculture course with an intake of 10 students. Admission to this course is through the academic performance in the qualifying examination.
Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities like smart boards. As our college is only for agricultural engineering we have all the required implements for farm machinery and equipment in the physics and chemistry laboratory. We have hostels seperately for girls and boys with wifi connection and a gym room with 6stations equipment, tv room with a cable connection, a dining hall with about 300 seats and cooking section, garden behind the hostels and cc cameras around hostel
