College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh: Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cutoff, Placements, Ranking

CAET, also often referred to as "CAET, Junagadh," became yet another institution under this umbrella for education and research. An agricultural engineering admission procedure should apply to the best of the universities in Gujarat, of which CAET is one, at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Primarily, admissions from the undergraduate population take place during the annual admission cycle that stretches from August to September. The entry of undergraduates is through the GUJCET, which, consequently, held applications for the year 2025 from 15 December 2024 to 7 January 2025 during which students would be applying in that timeline.

Thus, the minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the B.Tech program in Agricultural Engineering would be qualifying on the basis of a board examination of 10+2. GUJCET would form a part of eligibility criteria. CAET has the toughest procedures for admissions to postgraduate courses. A prospective admission student needs to take an entrance test and then a face-to-face interaction for admission to the M. Tech program at CAET. The entrance test and subsequent interviews are to be taken by these students primarily on their knowledge with regard to the agricultural engineering fields of expertise and their level of competency.

Application Process

There will be different procedures that apply to various categories for consideration for each of the programs. 

B.Tech Agricultural Engineering:

1. Register for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test.
2. Fill GUJCET form from 15 December 2024 to 7 January 2025 in the online mode.
3. Attend GUJCET exam as scheduled.
4. The list of successful candidates will be notified through the centralized admission process for engineering colleges in Gujarat.
5. Submission of all necessary documents, along with those mentioned by the institution, such as marksheets of 10+2, GUJCET score card, etc.
6. Candidate to pay the entry fee of Rs 54,800 upon selection.

For Admission into M.Tech Programs

1. Stay tuned for announcement on the CAET website or notice board related to M.Tech.
2. Obtain the application for chosen specialization for M.Tech and fill it.
3. Submit the duly filled application form along with all other relevant and necessary documents which will necessarily include the bachelor's degree certificate and marksheets.
4. Thereafter pay a fee as prescribed by the institute.
5. Thereafter appear in An entrance test and interview as informed by CAET.
6. Confirm admission upon selection by paying a program fee of Rs. 50,400 with original documents.

Admission Process Degree Wise

B. Tech: An annual intake of 90 students based on GUJCET scores. The course fee for 3 years is 54,800 per annum. To be considered, students should have completed their 10+2 schooling. Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry were the starting subjects.

M.Tech: M.Tech has 5 specialization programs. All of these programs accept 30 students each, with an application fee common to all of Rs. 50,400:

1. Farm Machinery and Power Engineering
2. Soil and Water Conservation Engineering
3. Processing and Food Engineering
4. Renewable Energy Engineering
5. Irrigation and Drainage Engineering

Entrance exam and interview are compulsory for admission into all M.Tech programs, the necessity being:

• Consideration for admission: minimum bachelor degree own corresponding to the specialization pursued by the applicants' engineering or technology.
• Expenses related to the entrance test and interview should be borne by the applicant.
• Selection shall be based on merit from performance in entrance test and interview.

Below are some generally required documents at the time of admission regardless of program type:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
• GUJCET Score card (For B.Tech candidates).
• Bachelor's degree certificate and marksheet (For M.Tech candidates).
• Entrance Test score card (For M.Tech candidates).
• Domicile Certificate (wherever applicable).
• Category Certificate (wherever applicable).
• Recent Passport Size photographs all other documents as provided by the institute during admission.
