Amongst the prestigious institutions established in 1984 is the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh. This constituent college, located in Junagadh, Gujarat, has since its inception been exclusively devoted to agricultural engineering education and research. This institute provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for aspiring agricultural engineers with its sprawling campus of 101.8 acres at CAET. Currently, the institute has a total student enrolment of 434; it is supported by a faculty of 33 dedicated professionals.

CAET offers a blend of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology offers 6 courses at 2 degree levels, with specializations in subjects such as conservation of soil and water, renewable energy sources, food processing, and so forth. At the undergraduate level, the institute offers one B.Tech programme in Agricultural Engineering, and five M.Tech programmes. In the field of M. Tech, this encompasses specialized areas like Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Processing and Food Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, and Irrigation and Drainage Engineering.

CAET accepts only the most promising candidates in its programs. For B.Tech, this institute accepts the Gujarat Common Entrance Test—GUJCET scores—to be the prime basis of admission. Candidates with eligibility to pursue M.Tech courses need to appear for an entrance test and an interview organized by the respective college. Such tests and interviews will screen their aptitude and knowledge for their advanced studies in agricultural engineering.
