Mandya is another constituent College of Agriculture which was started in the year 1991 symbolising the institution importance for agricultural education and research. This institution is situated in Mandya in the state of Karnataka and occupies a huge area of 57.25 acres to provide natural learning with proper environment. Founded and approved by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research ICAR, the college has clinched it’s its niche in the field of Agriculture. Total number of students admitted into the college is 550 and total number of faculty members is 23, which makes a higher student-teacher ratio that guarantees attention and quality education. The institution teaches 5 programmes at 2 levels of degrees in different branches of agricultural sciences for both undergraduates and postgraduates.

Each department enjoys well developed laboratories which offer practical skills in agricultural research and experiments. In the physical fitness and recreation, the institution has the sporting activities equipments and a gym. There is a college cafeteria that helps meet the needs of the college community in terms of food, and a health centre – first aid station helps students and workers of the college perform at optimal level. The college has an auditorium which is of great importance in facilitating a number of events and seminars hence plays the role of a lively part of the academic year.

Mandya’s College of Agriculture current offers many full time courses in the agricultural science fields. The institution currently offers one Undergraduate programme, the four – year B.Sc Agriculture (Hons) and four Postgraduate programmes, each taking a duration of two years. These M.Sc. Agriculture programmes major in Entomology, Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding and Plant pathology.
