College of Agriculture, Ummedganj, Kota is an agricultural education college founded in the year of 2018 located at Kota, Rajasthan. It is an affiliated college which promises an array of courses in the field of agriculture, including, undergraduate, postgraduate and even at doctoral level. Currently, the institute has 37 members of the faculty which offers quality education in several disciplines of agriculture. The programmes offered at the College of Agriculture, Ummedganj, Kota are; total of 10 courses comprise full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The flagship programme is the B.Sc Agriculture, a 4 year full-time programme for 66 students’ intake. At post graduate level, the college offers the following M. Sc programmes in specific areas of specialisation namely Agronomy; Genetics and Plant Breeding; Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry; Horticulture and Agriculture Extension and Communication. All of these M.Sc programmes are 2-year full-time courses with different intake capacity. The college also has Ph.D programmes in Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding and in Plant Pathology with the duration of 6 years only and having meager seats.
The admission process common to College of Agriculture, Ummedganj, Kota depends more on the state level combined entrance tests. Concerning the admission of under graduate students, the college takes into consideration the results of these examinations. For admission to postgraduate courses there is Pre-PG (M.Sc.) examination which is annual common entrance test conducted through one of the State Agriculture Universities of Rajasthan. Likewise in the case of Ph.D admissions the candidates need to write the Pre-PG (Ph.D.) entrance test.
