Wayanad Kennan College of Agriculture is the constituent college established in the year of 2018 at Ambalawayal, Kerala. Thus, this is relatively young institution which has grown to be an essential institute for offering agricultural learning in the region. The college is located in a campus comprising of 93.17 hectare of land and provides the study and research environment the college offers for agriculture. It offers total student enrolment of 120 and the faculty members of the college are 40 so the college has good student-teacher ratio which would provide personal attention towards the students.

It most conveniently possesses various adequate facility to meet its academic programmes. The library is the source of information through which students are in contact with a broad variety of agricultural literature and research data. At present, modern and convenient laboratory settings provide students with practical knowledge regarding different nuances of the agricultural science field. Wayanad Kennan College of Agriculture also holds paramount importance to information technology which has pretty good IT facilities necessary for grasping the digital education and research facility. For overall growth and concern of talents which require physical strength and skills, there are sports facilities for the students to practice their physique. This campus also has an auditorium through which events and seminars in the campus take place, and serves as an area for intellectual and cultural activities. Safe and comfortable hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls to live together to conduct their study comfortably staying from different regions.

Currently, the College of Agriculture, Wayanad offers one full-time undergraduate programme: B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons). This four-year course aims at producing graduates in agricultural sciences who would fit well into employment opportunities in the various sub-sectors within the agricultural sector, as well as other related fields. There are theoretical aspects of the programme and practical training using college’s advanced laboratories and landscape of Wayanad, which is an agricultural region.
