College of Applied Science, Attappadi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

College of Applied Science, Attappadi (CAS Attappadi) is an affiliated college was started in 2010 and located at Agali P.O., Palakkad, Kerala. The institute provides the diversity of courses for bachelors and masters in computer sciences, commerce and Management. CAS Attappadi is located on a 3-acre campus and has an annual student enrolment of 378 and an FTO of 20. BAI currently offers five full-time programmes to attain a degree, three Bachelor of Computer Science, and two Master of Science, with niche in finance and commerce fields.

College of Applied Science, Attappadi is equipped with different facilities to enhance students’ capabilities and successful performance. The College library is designed to meet students’ and faculty members’ research and curriculum requirements. The information technology systems are constantly being upgraded to be on par with the ever changing world economy to equip the students with the most efficient skills in using computers. Modern laboratories prepare students for practical lessons offering insights on relevant tools and equipment in a certain discipline. The college also provides the sports complex, event and seminar hall, health center with first aid. Three SMART Classrooms have been provided with advanced technology intelligent teaching aids that facilitates teaching-learning process.

Currently the institute has five courses on offer and all these are full time courses. These include three undergraduate courses: Such as B.Sc Computer Science, B.Com Computer Applications, BBA Finance, and two master level programmes of M.Sc Computer Science and M.Com Finance. The total number of students enrolled for all programmes is 166, for B.Com Computer Applications and BBA Finance programmes, the number of seats available are 50 each. It has the mission of offering quality education in its various educational specialties concerning computing, commerce, and business administration.

The admission process of CAS Attappadi is different based on the course offered to the students. For programmes such as B.Sc Computer Science, B.Com Computer Applications and BBA Finance, students’ merit derived out of the optional subjects cleared from the higher secondary level is taken into consideration. CAS Attappadi also has a Training and Placement Cell which look for placement opportunities for the students, to build appropriate aptitude towards better career option in IT sectors and other relevant fields.
