College of Applied Science, Kodungallur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kodungallur College of Applied Science, also known as CAS Kodungallur, is an affiliated college that began in 2010. This is an institution based in Thrissur, Kerala and it strives to provide a number of degrees under its undergraduate and postgraduate study programs. It has been observed that the individual rankings are unavailable, yet CAS Kodungallur is already popular for its priority in the applied sciences and technologies providing. This is a government-owned college, and therefore, it is an affiliated college. CAS Kodungallur admit a total of 231 students and has as many as 7 educators on the faculty. It currently teaches 5 courses in 5 degree programmes: Computer Science, Commerce, English Language, & Literature.

CAS Kodungallur has set facilities that work towards considering every student’s needs and more in their learning process. The college library contains a large number of books, magazines, and electronic materials, and an open-shelf library classification method is used. Well-developed facilities prepare students for professional practical experience of present days colleges and universities. Institution Information Technology provides students with updates of technological development in the global economy hence training them. The Commerce Association and several other clubs facilitate additional and healthy student involvement and learning. Further, T&P Cell plays a very active role in improving employability of the students by conducting soft skill development sessions, aptitude test and career counselling.

CAS Kodungallur presently provides a total of 5 full time course, where B. Com is an undergraduate course and others are postgraduate courses. Currently, the institute has launched 3 undergraduate programmes and 2 postgraduate programmes and all of them operate in the regular full time mode. 

The admission of students at CAS Kodungallur is done in a very transparent and most importantly on merit.  They have cut across their operating principle that admission to their various programs is without compromise based on academic performance while each course has its own standard measure in that regard. 

In most of the cases of undergraduate programmes like B.Sc Computer Science and B.Com Computer Applications, the admission criteria is based on the merit scored in the higher secondary examination. M.Sc Computer Science and M.Com Marketing might specific that the applicant should possess a bachelor degree in the related field with pass percentage of marks.
