The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Anand (SVIT), a college of architecture is one of the prestigious institutions that provide architectures and design courses. SVIT has always followed the process of admissions to identify and take talented students in the interest of knowledge in architecture and designs. The two main entrance examinations for admissions in SVIT are National Aptitude Test in Architecture for undergraduate programs and Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for postgraduate programs. The tests evaluate the aptitude and skills of the candidates relevant to architecture and design studies.

Application Process

Application Procedure for SVIT differs from program to program:

B.Arch Program:

1. Register and take the NATA examination.
2. Apply through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) of Gujarat.
3. Fill up the online application form on the ACPC portal.
4. Upload all the required documents, such as NATA score, 10+2 marksheet, and other certificates.
5. Pay the application fee as determined by ACPC.
6. Attend the counseling process conducted by ACPC.
7. If a seat is allotted, report to SVIT for document verification and confirmation of admission.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Arch: The Bachelor of Architecture program at SVIT has an intake of 80 seats. Admission to the B.Arch program is based on the candidate's performance in the NATA exam. Eligible candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with the minimum marks as prescribed by the Council of Architecture.
M.Arch: SVIT offers M.Arch with 20 seats. Admission Process for M.Arch follows two procedures:

1. Registration through ACPC by attending the entrance exam for GUJCET.
2. Application form registration under management/ vacant quota. The candidate must have B.Arch degree from the AICTE approved institution and having minimum marks as required by the institute.

Candidates can be expected to;

1. Visit the SVIT website for announcements related to application.
2. Complete the online application form.
3. Attach documents such as academic certificates and entrance examination scores (wherever necessary).
4. Pay the application fee.
5. Attend aptitude tests or interviews wherever required by the institute.

Documents needed for admission in general are
