COCAS means Commerce, Arts and Science College, Patna, which is the prestigious constituent college formed in 1949. This co-educational institution is spread over 6 acres with its location at Kankarbagh in Patna, Bihar. This college is well known in providing various academic streams that are available within it. COCAS has been granted approval by AICTE, New Delhi, hence offer 53 courses in 19 degrees. It has an ideal student-faculty ratio, with 12,515 enrolled students and 170 faculty members. COCAS is well facilitated for the development of students both academically and personally.

It accepts the scores of common entrance exams such as CAT - Common Admission Test and MAT - Management Aptitude Test for admission to the MBA course. For B.Ed, the institute follows a stipulated admission process dependent upon the merit of the candidates in the qualifying examination or Entrance Test in accordance with State and University guidelines.
