The College of Community Science Dharwad (CCSD) is an association was built in 1974 situated in the Karnataka state, India. It mostly functions as a constituent college of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Cultivated over a small area of 2.42 acres, CCSD has created a specialized reputation for itself in the field of community science education. This intermediate institution provides thirteen different course work across five degree programs conveniently for 293 intuitional students. CCSD has 17 highly regarded educators on its faculty that guarantees proper amount of classroom attention by providing students with professional guidance. Acknowledged by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-with recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC), the institution is a prime educational provider of agricultural and community sciences.

At the Undergraduate level, the college offers the course of Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology and Bachelor of Science in Community Science. 

The postgraduate programmes are M.Sc in different fields of Extension and Communication Management, Family Resource Management, Post Harvest Technology and Food Science and Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, Textile and Apparels Designing etc. Besides it, the college also provides Master of Technology in Food Technology. The College of Community Science. Dharwad (CCSD) is one of the oldest institutions of excellence and is a constituent college of University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. The college is recognized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers extensive programs in community science and related areas. Admission to CCSD is carried out with the purpose of selecting very potent students into various programs at the college.

Admissions do, in general, include some combination of entrance exams, merit in prior academic performance, and possibly an interview and other criteria depending on a given admission pathway. The criteria of eligibility vary from program level. As a general overview, undergraduate admissions would usually ask their candidates to have completed the 10+2 level course of study offering related subjects. Some postgraduate and doctoral degree programs would expect that a bachelor's degree has been obtained in a related field. There may be some subject-specific requirements and minimum percentages for some courses.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech Food Technology : This means that the undergraduate program is all about processing and technology in food. Admission will be based on the relevant entrance exams and the 10+2 science scores.

B.Sc Community Science: A complete study of community science and admission criteria may consider the 10+2 score and one college-specific entrance test.

M.Sc Programs: Extension and Communication Management, Family Resource Management, Food Science and Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, and Textile and Apparels Designing are among the M.Sc programs offered by CCSD. Admission to these programs is usually on the basis of an appropriate bachelor's degree, and it might involve entrance examinations as well as interviews.

M.Tech Food Technology: The advanced course in food technology most likely expects a B.Tech degree or an equivalent in the related domain for admission. The admissions may base their selection on GATE scores or on an entrance exam conducted by the university.
