College of Dairy Science and Technology, Pookode, whispers success story since establishment in the year 2015 and is a constituent of Kerala. This centre is focused mostly on the issues related to dairy and it provides certain niche for the learners who are interested in this specific field. The college which is located in the beautiful area known as Pookode gives the necessary setting for academic learning. The college has 4 members in faculty strength and always made their efforts to provide student friendly environment and quality education.

The college has several facilities that seek to complement the learning process of the students it serves. It operation as a resourceful center for accessing different types of academic materials and research publications in the area of dairy science. For effective hands on training, the institution has provided departmental laboratories with instruments and technology necessary in dairy science and technology. The college also gives priority to computer literacy, provides very good and enhanced IT facilities to make the students updated in related modern technologies in dairy industries. To fully develop its approach, there are sports amenities which are essential in the balance of academic tasks in relation to the sports and games offered in the institution.

The B.Tech in Dairy Technology programme that is offered in College of Dairy Science and Technology, Pookode, is a four years full time programme which has given it a unique combination of overall dairy science and technology. This program is the flagship programme of the college and they enrol forty students every academic year. The programme is designed as a combination of concepts and experiences, to equip the learners with knowledge and strategies relevant to the modern dairy sector. Specific data on total number of graduates is still missing but the very specialization of the college allows to presume that quality of education provided to the students is quite adequate.

The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech Dairy Technology program offered in the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Pookode are based on the student’s performance in the Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical (KEAM) examination. This entrance exam is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala. Students interested in joining this specialised programme need to sit for the KEAM, which is the main tool of selection. 

College accepts the B.Arch examination scores also and hence offers an another way to joining B.Arch for students eager to become architects.
