The College of Defence Management, Secunderabad started in 1994 is one of the premier defence training establishments committed to build leadership qualities in defence personnel. This co-educational college is an affiliated college established in the province of Telangana and is recognised by the NAAC as a self-financing institution. Spread across the Sainikpuri area of Secunderabad, this college imparts management education exclusive for the Defence personnel. 

The College of Defence Management has the responsibility of ensuring that its students get all required facilities in their learning process. The college has an equipped library; this is a centralized source of information for the college learners and instructors. This facility plays an important role to facilitate various research work requirements and to extend the university’s experience in liberal arts education. Also, there are tutorial facilities of each department teaching practical exercised that enable students relating theory with practice. These facilities are quite instrumental in closing the theory-practice divide in learning by providing an avenue for application of acquired skills in defense management.

Currently the CDM offers only one course in its academic portfolio – Master of Management Studies or commonly referred to as MMS. This programme is spread over two years and in its full-time form, aims at providing defence professionals with updated management knowledge applicable to the sector.
