The College of Dental Science and Research Centre (CDSRC), Ahmedabad, is an esteemed institution that offers dental courses. Undergraduate admissions in CDSRC are made based on the merit achieved by a student on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). This national-level entrance test must be cleared by any candidate aspiring for admission to dental courses in the country. The number of seats for the BDS program is 100, hence making the admission process a competitive one.
For postgraduate admissions, CDSRC accepts candidates through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET-MDS). The NEET-UG and NEET-MDS usually begin the admission cycle for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Application usually begins in the month of February and ends in March for NEET-UG.
Application Process
The application process varies at CDSRC, Ahmedabad for undergraduate and postgraduate programs:
For BDS Program:
1. Qualify the NEET-UG examination conducted by NTA.
2. Register for state/central counseling process, as applicable.
3. Fill up counselling form and indicate CDSRC as a preferred college.
4. Submit necessary documents which include NEET-UG score card, 10+2 marksheet, and any other mentioned certificates.
5. Attend the counseling session if shortlisted.
6. If allotted a seat, report to CDSRC for document verification and fee payment within the stipulated time.
For MDS Programs:
1. Take the NEET-MDS examination.
2. Register for the central/state counseling process.
3. Fill the counseling form selecting CDSRC and preferred specializations.
4. Submit necessary documents such as NEET-MDS score card, BDS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, and other required documents.
5. Participate in the counseling process if shortlisted.
6. If allotted a seat, complete the admission formalities at CDSRC. This includes document verification and fee payment.
Degree wise Admission Process
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): The BDS course offered at CDSRC is available with a capacity of 100 seats. Selection will be based on the NEET-UG scores obtained by the candidate. Candidates should also have cleared their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. The selection process is carried out by way of counseling based on the NEET-UG rank list.
MDS (Master of Dental Surgery): The college has 24 available seats, allocated to the following eight MDS specializations, each having 3 seats:
1. Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge
2. Periodontics
3. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
4. Oral Medicine and Radiology
5. Oral Pathology
6. Orthodontics
7. Paedodontics
8. Conservative Dentistry
Admissions to all these programs of MDS will take place on the basis of NEET-MDS scores. The aspirants need to have a BDS degree from any recognized university and must have done with their internship. The selection process comprises counseling based on the NEET-MDS rank list.

The infrastructure is pretty mediocre. The lecture halls are air conditioned and have the facility of AC's. The library has Computers and Printers too. But, the washrooms, require a little maintenance. There is no provision of WiFi, over the entire campus. There are separate hostels, for boys and girls. The food of the canteen is average. The sports ground requires a lot of maintenance, as well as the parking lot.
