College of Engineering, Kottarakkara: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The College of Engineering, Kottarakkara (CEK) is an autonomous college which came into existence in the year 2004. This is an AICTE approved institute that provides a fine technical education established at Kollam in Kerala. CEK school is fenced serene and spacious learning institution which occupies twenty five point two five acres of land. The college has a small capacity with a total enrolment  of 184 students and teacher strength of 11 students makes the college guarantee competent attention to each student by maintaining small student teacher ratio. CEK currently has three B.Tech programmes, with concentrations in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics as well as Communication Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

College of Engineering, Kottarakkara has a variety of up to date facilities that enhance the student’s academic and personal needs. It holds the status of learning resource center in which institutional information requirements of students and faculties are met. To ME Cek has arranged all sporting activities, both indoor and outdoor for the sports lovers there is football and cricket ground with NAUnit for chess, TT and badminton. It also has a fine gym, complete with a nine-station multi-gym health club, at college. For students’ welfare, there is a health centre with first aid services on the compound. Much of the IT facilities are sound since computer laboratories provide the means to a fast internet connection. Male and female students are also able to find accommodation in hostels are fully equipped with comfortable rooms, dining area and study rooms. The college cafeteria provides fresh and home like cooked food at quite affordable prices that are acceptable by every one.

The College of Engineering, Kottarakkara currently offers students, three full time B.Tech courses in total. Such are B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, These programmes are four-year full-time courses that offer extensive technical education programmes in each field of specialization.

Thus the procedure for admission in College of Engineering, Kottarakkara is that the candidates are given admission on the bases of merit list and on the basis of certain pre planned process. Admission to the course is received as per the rank list prepared by the Controller of Entrance Examination of Kerala State. Among all the competitive entrance examinations of Kerala, only Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) examination is admitted by the institute.
