The College of Fisheries Science, Kamdhenu University is an educational specialized institute that offers education in the subject, that is, fisheries science. Admission into the said college has been structured to identify qualified applicants interested in proceeding with a career in the field of fisheries. More precisely, the college administers undergraduate and doctoral programs in fisheries science and aquaculture. B.F.Sc Course
- Register for the GUJCET examination. The registration for GUJCET 2025 is from December 15, 2024 to January 7, 2025
- Appear for the GUJCET examination, generally in April or May.
- After the declaration of GUJCET results, the candidates with valid scores are eligible to apply to the College of Fisheries Science through the centralized admission process conducted by the agricultural universities in Gujarat.
- The documents required to be submitted are GUJCET score card, 12th standard mark sheet, and other relevant certificates.
- Merit list preparation: the college will prepare the merit list by using total score of GUJCET 40% and PCB theory marks of Gujarat Higher Secondary Board Exam, 60%
- Counseling and seat allotment would be done according to the merit list.
For Ph.D Aquaculture course:
- Search for the notification of state-level common entrance test for admission to Ph.D courses
- Apply and attend the common entrance test.
- The Application form with entrance test score and M.F.Sc degree certificates to be sent to the College of Fisheries Science
- College will make merit list. The weightage is given to 50% for entrance test score and 50% for M.F.Sc
- Shortlisted candidates may be provided interview or other additional rounds of selection.
- Selection will be done on total performance and availability of seats.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science): It is an integrated five-year course. The candidates must qualify based on the GUJCET score and Gujarat Higher Secondary Board Exam results. The combined score has a weightage as under: 40% of scores in GUJCET and 60% of theory marks from the Gujarat Higher Secondary Board Examination in PCB subjects. This score is used for preparing the merit list. Student intake in this college totals to 90 only for this program.
Ph.D. Aquaculture: For intake into the Doctoral program in Aquaculture students have to write a state level common entrance examination. The list of final eligibility is prepared accordingly with 50-50 marks weightage through common entrance and the performance record of the respective candidate in M. F. Sc. This ensures basic fisheries science, which is a prerequisite foundation for doctoral pursuits.
