The College of Horticulture and Forestry, Jhalawar, was set up in the year 2004 The campus is situated in Jhalarapatan; Rajasthan. This specialized institution only offers a few courses specifically in horticulture and forestry sciences to those students who have a natural interest in plant science, and environmental conservation. The college is staffed by a faculty of 28 highly trained and committed members of staff, towards the development of a conducive atmosphere for learning and skills acquisition. Currently this institution has 7 courses offered in 2 the degree levels; These fields include Horticulture, Forestry and sub fields under horticulture including vegetable science fruit science, floriculture and landscaping.
In this college, student learning is supported and supplemented by a variety of multipurpose structures. For students’ housing the college has two hostels: a hostel for boys with 94 beds; postgraduate hostel with the number of beds for 24 students.
The two hostels have provision for mess and games and other forms of entertainment. People enjoying outdoor activities will able to enjoy ample of opportunities of football volley ball basket ball, kabbadi, cricket etc., indoor games like table tennis, badminton etc., It also arranges coaching camps for students for competition at national level competitions.
