AICNC or affiliated institute of college of nursing, Kanpur was established in 1975 situated in the centre of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Located in Medical College Campus this is a co-education institute which is recognised from Indian Nursing Council(INC). The college occupies a total area of about eight acres hence affording enough space for teaching and learning as well as other co-curricular activities. Currently, the college has 151 students and 23 Faculties in its campus which comprised a low student-teacher ratio of 6:1 which strongly supports student-centred education. 

Library being major aspect of academic document resource center well stocked with journals, magazines, newspapers and books in department of Medicine, Surgery, Nursing, General Knowledge and Biological Sciences/ Social Sciences etc. Students have daily access to both Indian and foreign journals so that they do not lose touch with the modern advancements. The library also provides computer and internet services which enhance students learning requirement. For practical experience, the College of Nursing central and departmental laboratory facilities are functional to provide students practical experience on their field of specialisation. The institution has embraced the use of technology in the current learning institutions by having a well-equipped, large computerised with configured computers and internet is available throughout the facility 24 hours.

In terms of academic offerings, the College of Nursing, Kanpur, currently provides two course. Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing and B.Sc Nursing. This course is offered full time and takes two years to complete, focusing on assisting practicing nurses to enhance their abilities and information base.
