College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam is a premier institute established in 2007. College of Post Graduate Studies is the constituent college of the Central Agricultural University, Imphal. 

The CPGSAS Umiam offers M.Sc Agriculture and Ph.D. programmes in a diverse range of agricultural disciplines, including Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, and Animal Science. Admission to CPGSAS course can be through ICAR AIEEA score or Self financed programme.

The College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam has a convenient location on the Umroi (Shillong-Guwahati Bypass road (NH) in Umiam (Barapani). It is situated in the Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. CPGSAS is approximately 13 kilometres from the Umroi (Shillong) airport. Shillong, Meghalaya's capital city, is around 20 kilometres away. Regular bus and taxi services are available all day from Guwahati and Shillong. Umroi Bus stop is the closest bus stop to the college, located about 1.5 km away. You can take buses from Guwahati, Shillong.
