The College of Teacher Education, Mangaldai, was established in 1973 with the aim to develop future teachers. This co-educational college is in Darrang, Assam, spread over an area of 3.04 acres of land. It is affiliated with a university, hence comes with certain educational standards that the university sets. It is a matter of pride for the college that it has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). thereby providing a good student-teacher ratio, bearing in mind the college takes an intake of 100 students while the faculty has been established at 16.
