The College Of Teacher Education Mangaldai was established in 1973 with the aim to develop future teachers. This co-educational college is in Darrang, Assam, spread over a beautiful area of 3.04 acres of land. It is affiliated to a university hence come with certain of educational standard that the university sets. It is a matter of pride for the college that it has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). thereby providing a good student teacher ratio bearing in mind the college takes an intake of 100 students while the faculty has been established at 16.

College library provides some significant educational material to the learners by achieving its aims and objectives. For the sporty freak, the facility compliments them as they can practice their activities to the highest level as they seek recreation. To begin with, the institution has put in place a programme called Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which constitutes the pedastal of the curriculum. This two-year full-time course for 10+2 students has an intake capacity of 50 seats that ensures focused and quality education and the college does not compromise on its intake capacity. Though this particular is the only degree offered in this college, the programme puts emphasis on preparing the students for a teaching profession.
