College of teacher education (Tribal Welfare), Bhadrachalam which was established in 2000 is affiliated college for future teachers. This institution is based in Khammam District Telangana, the institution is anchored on a 7-acres land and learning environment to support student growth. The college runs two specialised programmes in education that has been endorsed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Concerning curriculum, the College of Teacher Education (Tribal Welfare) offers two full time programmes in the area of education. Two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme was proposed and approved to take 200 students. The college provides a two year Diploma in Education (D.El.Ed) for fifty students who wants to be a diploma holder. These programmes are developed with special purpose of preparing the students to become effective teachers, especially in tribes.
As for the admission process in College of Teacher Education (Tribal Welfare) the College follows the mark secured in the qualification examination and/or in entrance examination. The college functions strictly under the admission policies specified by the state government of Telangana and the university with which it is affiliated. For the B.Ed programme for instance, the admission details may also incorporate additional process as standard with the university. The admissions criteria for the D.El.Ed (previously D.Ed) are also generic merit-based admissions, as per the state government/UT administration policies.
