College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Kishanganj Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

• The college has air-conditioned classrooms with modern audio visual aids for presentation.
• A collar mike system is used by the instructors for delivering their lectures.
• There is ample space for the students to sit comfortably during the lectures. 

The College has departments that have their respective UG Laboratories, which are equipped as per the MSVE requirements. New equipment has been purchased, and land aboratories have been set up and are ready to carry out practical works. 

The college library serves as the academic heart of the college to support teaching programs, research activities, and extension. The COVAS, Kishanganj, has a well-established library situated on the second floor of the main building, and it is divided into service areas, a collections stall, and a reading hall. It is managed and operated by the librarians and support staff. The library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and internet facility for reference purposes. Besides this, there is a central university library of BASU at Bihar Veterinary College Campus, Patna having good number of books on all the subjects, journals, periodicals, internet facility and CD – ROM reference databases to cater the need of students as and when required.

The College has a well-equipped computer centre which is connected through Local Area Network (LAN) for internet access. This is used for training/teaching, computation report preparation, and surfing the net for academic activities.

The College has an auditorium to enhance the quality of education. It also provides ample opportunity for the staff and students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.

The College has a gym facility with all the high-tech equipment placed inside the campus area. Different time slots are allotted to female and male students and faculty where they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. 

The College recognizes the importance of sportsman spirit and team effort for students. For this, the DKAC Campus has adequate sports facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure shared equally by all the colleges on the campus. Several inter and intra-college sports events are organized throughout the year to enable the students to develop a spirit of sportsmanship and team effort.

The college has a girls’ hostel facility, for which allotment of rooms will be made under the instruction of the Dean, COVAS, Kishanganj, based on availability. However, hostel accommodation cannot be claimed as a matter of right. The girls' hostel will have separate resident wardens in addition to the supervisors and supporting staff. Proper dining and entertainment facilities are also available in the hostel.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility, for which allotment of rooms will be made under the instruction of the Dean, COVAS, Kishanganj, based on availability. However, hostel accommodation cannot be claimed as a matter of right. The Boys' hostel will have separate resident wardens in addition to the supervisors and supporting staff. Proper dining and entertainment facilities are also available in the hostel.

The college has Extra-Curricular activity facilities for all students.
