Coochbehar Advancement and Prosperity College of Education the college situated at Cooch Behar, West Bengal is a newly established college which was established in the year 2019 only. This co educational college is one of the affiliated college approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located at Khagrabari, a scenic place, the college offers two professional courses with a combined of strength capacity of four hundred. The college is relatively young and thus, has already done commendable work regarding giving quality education with a small, but highly motivated staff comprising of three members.

This college has a variety of facilities meant to support the college’s vision and improve student learning. The information technology is well developed and offers students apparatus in line with the modern requirements of education. Academic library is a source of knowledge and students’ and academics’ resources for their studies and research. For the learners with interest in physical activities, the college provides for the necessary sport amenities to help balance academic work. In departmental laboratories, practices and trainee experiences can be obtained alongside with the theoretical approaches to be taught. The college also realises health importance of learners and has a medical section with a first aid section making the college to be friendly for the learners.

Coochbehar Advancement and Prosperity College of Education at present, provides two set full time courses and both of them takes two years. The College offers two types of teacher education programmes: The Bachelors in Education (B.ED) having an approved intake capacity of 100 students and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED) having an approved intake of 100 students making the overall capacity to 200 students every year. These programmes are intended to produce quality teacher and teach students how to master the necessary competencies for education at the primary and secondary level. As shown the college has given emphasis on offering education to teachers due to its goal of helping foster the production of capable instructors in the area.

The admission to Coochbehar Advancement and Prosperity College of Education like many institutions in the state follows the states policy on admission and the university it is affiliated to. For the B.Ed programme enrolment formula is on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination, entrance test or any other mode allowed by the state government. Likewise, the D.El.Ed programme has the facility of merit-based admission procedure according to the performance in the qualifying examination or entrance test.
