Coorg Institute of Technology, Kodagu: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Coorg Institute of Technology Kodagu was established in 1999, under the sponsorship of Kodava Education Society. It has received grade ‘A’ accreditation from NAAC and is All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved. CIT Kodagu is currently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. CIT Kodagu provides higher education in the Faculty of Engineering. 

The college currently offers one course, which is the Bachelor of Engineering  (B.E). Coorg Institute of Technology Coorg Institute of Technology offers the B.E course as a full-time regular course. Coorg Institute of Technology admissions are regulated by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), for state seats.

The admission to management seats is conducted by the college itself. But it is to be noted that CIT Kodagu will only offer the management seats if seats are remaining vacant after state counselling. The college admits students to the B.E course through COMEDK UGET/JEE Mains/KCET and College entrance exam scores. 

The applicant must score at or above the CIT Kodagu cut-off, to become eligible for admission. Moreover, the candidate must meet the Coorg Institute of Technology eligibility criteria. 

For state-level admission, the applicant has to participate in the state counselling round, conducted by KEA, post-entrance examination. The college will be allotted through counselling. For management admission, the admission committee of Coorg Institute of Technology will choose the applicant depending on their score and rank in the above-mentioned entrance exams as well as their academic performance. 

The college provides a variety of facilities such as hostel and medical facilities, transportation and parking services, classrooms, computer labs and other such facilities. Coorg Institute of Technology Kodagu also has an active training and placement cell providing placement services to college students.
