Crescent Yousuf Zulaikha School of Nursing, Madurai, Tamil Nadu is an individual entity affiliated only to the sphere of nursing. Founded relatively recently, in the year 2000, this university has been training future nurses for more than twenty years. The school occupies a campus of 7 acres and has been accorded recognition by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) – the move, which makes it possible for the school to operate in accordance with the educational standards provided for in the country. With a total student enrolment of 78 and faculty members of strength 13 the student teacher ratio is kept optimized thereby providing optimal condition for learning.

Crescent Yousuf Zulaikha School of Nursing currently offers one full-time course: Some are the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme. This four- year course has an approved student capacitance of forty – forty, which indicate that the institute is able to offer quality education in a specific area of specialisation. The GNM programme offers education and training to prepare the students for different difficult aspects of the nursing and midwifery systems.
