Crossland College, Brahmavar was started in the year 1984 as an affiliated college situated at Udupi, Karnataka. This premier institution, the campus stretching over an area of thirty acres, teaches undergraduate programmes in arts as well as commerce. Approved by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Crossland College has been nurturing youth for thirty seven years. Currently, the college has 208 students, and 17 members of the teaching staff, a fact that explain the good student-faculty ratio that is prerequisite for proper learning conditions.

The college also has many facilities that are intended to favor the process of learning. A library resourced has over 12,449 volumes collection which shows that student has plethora of information at their disposal. Total number of subject journal subscriptions provided to the college students are eleven and there are forty two magazine subscriptions for the readers to update themselves on the latest happenings in their areas of study. As the name suggests, a girls’ hostel provides proper accommodation for those students who live in the dormitory. Every sports lover will have plenty to do with an open space for most outdoor activities, two basketball courts, handball, shuttle badminton, and lawn tennis. The college also has a good gymnasium with wrestling mats for those interested in doing their exercises. Towards enhancing learning and research, the college has deanerys departmental laboratories and proper IT facilities with Wi-Fi internet connection across the college.

Currently, Crossland College teaches five full time undergraduate programmes within two-degree courses. A Bachelor of Arts refers to the programme that offers choice areas of specialisation in Business Management and Office Practice Management and Secretarial Practice; History Sociology and Rural development; and History Sociology and English Optional. For those who want to pursue commerce the college provides the Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com.) course. All offered programmes are expected to be finished in three years, giving the students sufficient knowledge of their subjects.
