About CSI Jeyaraj Annapackiam College of Nursing and Allied Sciences, Madurai

CSIJACN&AS was envisioned, established in 1993, and is one of the premier institutions in nursing located at Madurai, Tamilnadu. This affiliated college approved from Indian Nursing Council (INC) has variety of nursing courses on its 13 acres area. The college offers a personal atmosphere for learning with a total enrolment of 247 students and 19 members of faculty staff. It teaches 6 courses in two degree programmes and provides education in the different branches of nursing. It is a co-educational institution, which recruits students from different backgrounds, making the institution compound for the promotion of nursing education.

The college has Dennis specialised academic and social amenities which enhances student activities. The college library offer various information resources that enhance the student’s knowledge base and the IT facilities keeps student up-to-date on technology in the health-care sector. It has skill based laboratories to meet the need of skill base education which is essential for the training of nurses. For the overall development of the college, it has also a playground and gym for students. To support diverse events and seminars an auditorium is in place and contributes to learning. First aid services for students are as well provided at the on-campus health center. Boys and girls hostels accommodate the residential students in such a way that maximize the comfort of the students. A canteen is responsible for the provision of food for the employees and students whilst guest house is provided for the faculties and relatives.

CSI Jeyaraj Annapackiam College of Nursing and Allied Sciences (CSIJACN&AS), a premier nursing institution which has opened its doors to students at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.  CSIJACN&AS admits candidates for its various nursing programs on a selective basis. At the same time opening avenues for males and females, CSIJACN&AS is a co-educational institution which embraces students from diverse backgrounds thereby creating an environment which is inclusion-rich for nursing education. Eligibility criteria for admission may depend on the program applied for. Typically, for undergraduate programs such as B.Sc Nursing, students who have completed their 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are eligible to apply. For postgraduate programs, candidates with a B.Sc Nursing degree from a recognized institution are generally considered eligible.

Application process

1. Announcement of Admissions: Admissions will generally be announced by the college on its official website and through other forms of media.

2. Application Form: Interested candidates would be required to get the admission form and fill it up. The same could be available online on the college website or by physically visiting the college office.

3. Document Submission: Candidates also need to submit the following along with the completed application form:

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Transfer certificate
  • Conduct certificate
  • Community certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

4. Entrance Examination: The college may conduct an entrance examination to ascertain the candidates' knowledge and aptitude for some programs, especially at the postgraduate level.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: Admission into B.Sc Nursing course is solicited through 50 seats allotted by the college to the four-year undergraduate program focused on comprehensive nursing education. Admission to the program is likely based on the candidate's performance in their 10+2 examinations and other entrance tests conducted by the college or per state regulations.

M.Sc Nursing: The various specializations CBM-CC in M.Sc Nursing are offered by CSIJACN&AS, each with its own seat allotment.

Candidates with a B.Sc Nursing qualification are eligible to apply for M.Sc programs. Admission may be based on the academic record in the undergraduate bachelor's degree program in conjunction with the entrance exam score obtained, if applicable, and possibly through an interview round.
