Dahiwadi College was founded in the year 1965 and is an affiliated college of the state of Maharashtra. This campus spreads over an area of 22.5 acres with 20 courses and 10 degrees. The college has a strength of about 2,550 students and the faculty strength is 99. The college has a present male student strength of 1,182 while the female strength is 1,285, and thus it gives a suitable male-female ratio of the students. The number of students on UG courses is 90 % while 10% are on PG courses. Dahiwadi College has come up with all the facilities which improve the whole experience of students.

In the library, there are more than 83,220 books 35 periodicals newspapers, and online services; additionally, there is internet connectivity. Facilities include departmental laboratories and a spacious auditorium, which can accommodate 450 people, and a canteen for the overall betterment of students. In its pursuit to look after the health of its students, the college has provided a health centre where first aid is offered, and for maintaining physical fitness, there is a gymnasium and also a number of sports facilities. The campus is equipped with free Wi-Fi to the PG students and staff. On-campus facilities are a girl's hostel, parking space, a bank facility, and even a training and placement cell where anyone could be guided about their career aspirations. The Dahiwadi College runs a full-time range of academic programmes running as many as 20 courses through different disciplines. These comprise full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degrees along with doctoral programmes. 

The college offers 20 courses. The undergraduate courses include BA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, B.Voc Agriculture, and specialised programmes in the form of BA Defence Study and B.Com Banking Management. At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Sc programmes in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, along with M.Com and MA in English and Political Science. For research-lovers, it gives Ph.D. programmes in Chemistry and Botany. The total student intake capacity is 2,550, with 2,467 enrolled students in the latest figures.
