Danie College of Education, Villupuram: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Danie College of Education was established inthe year 2009 and it is located at Villupuram.The college is co-educational institution with the aim of molding the future bearers of the teaching profession. This affiliated college is situated in Melkalavai Village, Gingee Taluk and has a total spread of five acres and six cent area makes conducive for total growth and quality education. This college was given recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with existing capacity of 158 students involving 11 teaching faculty. Currently, Danie College of Education offers the Bachelor of Education Programme (B.Ed) to produce quality teachers who will be able to meet the challenges in the growing sector.

Some of the amenities that are available in the college include facilities that are supposed to supplement learning to the students. The center of any academic resources is a rich library and supply of books for students and other educational materials available. In order to enhance the practicable learning, the college has the department based laboratories where students can practice. As it is apparent that technology plays an influential role in disseminating knowledge today, 

As for the academic programmes offered, only one full-time course is offered up to now at Danie College of Education – the B.Ed programme. This curriculum is spread over two years and its primary aim is to prepare competitive, knowledgeable, and skilled professionals in teaching industry. This college has an approved quota of fifty students in a year to offer this course which assures the student personal attention and quality academic insight. Consequently, this competitive focus enables the institution to sustain high quality for training teachers and in turn develop competent teachers to meet the future demand.

After the implementation of the admission policies approved by the state government for Union Territory and the university to which Danie College of Education is affiliated, admission is done on merit basis. The prospective students are then selected either on the basis of their score card in the qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other examination as may be prescribed by the authorities. Thus, this steps taken is witnessed that all the eligible candidate who have passion of being teacher will be afforded the chance of their dreams.
