Datta Meghe Medical College was established in 2020, this college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and situated in Wanadongri, On Hingna Road, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Being a constituent college it has emerged as a popular institution in the field of medical education. The college is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), which proves its compliance with the highest quality. Currently the institution has 104 faculties and the affront to offer standard medical education. Datta Meghe Medical College only has one course it offers, the MBBS, with an approved admission capacity for each course is 150. 

Datta Meghe Medical College is a coeducational institution that would create a pluralistic learning climate any anyone who intends to enter the medical college. Being fully aware of the fact that the medical field is very competitive, Datta Meghe Medical College has ensured that the campus has put in place modern facilities to improve students’ performance. The college has arrangements for off campus hostel for boys and girls which offers a proper residential facility to the students. The highlight of the year was the construction of the institution’s library that is fully air-conditioned and has a students seating capacity of one hundred and fifty within the internal and external reading sections. The library has a pile of more than 3155 books which includes 1197 reference books for the students and faculties The library also has subscribed 30 journals Indian & International. For computerized teaching and learning, the library has invested in 40 computers in the e-library sub-section. In addition to lecture rooms, college also has well equipped laboratory that is a prerequisite for any college with focus on medical science. Other amenities include; internet connection, school canteen, school clinic with facilities for first aid, computer and technology facilities, gym and games facilities among others in the aspect of the campus amenities. 

Datta Meghe Medical College has its focus on the MBBS programme only and it is a full time course of six years. This highly-scientific programme delivered across 5 years is aimed at preparing the students to become eloquent doctors. A recently approved intake capacity of one hundred and fifty in the college ensures that the college enrols only competent students which ensures an ideal student-faculty ratio. Datta Meghe Medical College MBBS course is designed to build a sound knowledge base of the medical science along with practical training through the colleges’ hospitals. 

On the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test popularly known as NEET-UG Indian students are given admission into Datta Meghe Medical College. This is a national level test required to be taken by every student who is planning to be a part of a medical university in India. Admission process also holds a standard procedure, in which the college follows centralised admission process for its students. Candidates aspiring for admission in this institution must pass NEET-UG with the qualifying marks. The specific periods for admission mostly coincide with the schedules of the medical admissions, the latter being announced for the year. Although detail info regarding the scholarships is not available its important to note the college likely to follow standard government policies on provision of financial aid to deserving students. Since the college is a newly established institution, the placement of students has not been so compelling, but as year passes, the alumni association of DM medical college is developing the placement opportunities that will be beneficial for a large no. of students in future.
