Dattakala Polytechnic, Daund was established in 2009 and is a constituent college at Swami Chincholi, Maharashtra. The institution is situated on the Pune-Solapur Highway and offers different Diploma programmes in Engineering. The campus is spread on a land area of 14.7 acres, with sufficient infrastructure for academics and other extracurricular activities. Having a technical focus, Dattakala Polytechnic has at present an enrolment of 12, which is matched by an equal number of faculty members, so as to provide quality education and personal attention to the students. Four diploma programs equip students with practical working skills and theoretical knowledge in their respective fields.

The institute is well-equipped with various facilities that enhance the student experience and help in their academic pursuits. The campus has separate boys' and girls' hostels, both accommodating 200 students, to provide a comfortable living environment to the boarders. A 9000 sq. ft. well-equipped library functions as the knowledge hub of the campus and is kept open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on working days. For medical emergencies, the college has ensured hospital facilities with emergency treatment in case of injuries. 

The campus has different kinds of grounds and equipment that help develop physical fitness and team spirit among the students. The institute's IT infrastructure is appreciable, with well-equipped computer labs that have dual-core computers with the latest configurations and LCD projectors for better and more interactive learning experiences. A cafeteria caters to the culinary needs of the students and staff from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. The campus also has an auditorium for events and seminars, a convenience store for daily needs, and adequate two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking. 

Dattakala Polytechnic has four full-time diploma courses at UG levels, all under the stream of Engineering. These programmes ensure that students are well-versed in respective disciplines, making them industrial-ready. The total approved intake in all courses is 270 seats. It has the potential for the development of a large number of budding engineers year after year.
