Daulat Vishwasth Sanstha's Yashwantrao Chavan Mahavidyalaya, Chandgad, was started in 1989. It is an affiliated college at Halkarni, Chandgad taluka of Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. Its campus covers an area of about 25 acres. This institution has also been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) also. At present, the total number of students in this college stands at 1153, with a faculty strength of 16 members.

Daulat Vishwasth Sanstha's Yashwantrao Chavan Mahavidyalaya has several facilities designed to advance the learning opportunities for its students, as well as generally develop them. Right at the centre of these are the college facilities found in the library, housed in a spacious hall with an impressive collection of 29,606 books, 45 subscribed periodicals, and 21 donated periodicals. 1,069 back volumes of valuable journals are maintained in the library, and 302 e-media resources are available. This abounds the students with resources for their scholarly exercises. For those having scientific bents, the college provides fully equipped departmental laboratories including all necessary apparatus and materials. 

The institution has taken a good initiative to update itself into this digital era with excellent IT infrastructure with computers available in several departments and a Network Resource Centre which gives free internet access to the students as well as the staff of the college. 

Daulat Vishwasth Sanstha's Yashwantrao Chavan Mahavidyalaya, Chandgad offers three full-time undergraduate courses, that are, B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. All these programmes have a duration of three years. The college can accommodate 1,153 students in total intake capacity of all courses, thus expressing how the college intends to provide quality education to a large number of learners within the region.

Admission at Daulat Vishwasth Sanstha's Yashwantrao Chavan Mahavidyalaya Chandgad is streamlined in a way that it is accessible for intending students. For students requiring accommodation, the college provides hostel facilities. There is also a boys' hostel on campus that accommodates the male students for comfortable living. A girls' hostel with a capacity of 22 capacities is also in under-construction, as the collage believes in giving equal opportunities and facilities to every student. It has a well-equipped gymnasium with sports facility consisting of playgrounds for games like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. The college also has various athletic events under its umbrella, as per the physical fitness and sporting interests of the students.
