For undergraduate admissions, Department of Computer Science and Engineering considers primarily the aggregate percentage of marks in Mathematics, Physics, and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology, and other subjects. Department of Computer Science and Engineering admission cycle generally pertains to the academic year. Postgraduate admissions are given on the basis of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores as the principal criterion. Department of Computer Science and Engineering M.Tech Admission Process

  • M.Tech in Computer Engineering is full-time programme has an intake of 18 seats. The primacy of admission is based on GATE scores, but candidates could also sit for the entrance test for M.Tech organised by Punjabi University. The dual approach thus gives opportunities to both GATE-qualified candidates as well as those who excel at the test conducted by the university.
  • M.Tech in Computer Engineering (Part-Time): This is a 60-seater programme; it caters to working professionals or candidates who cannot devote time to a full-time course. Similar to the full-time M.Tech, the admissions are either based on GATE scores or through the university's entrance examination.
