The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology initiated in 2001 which is the part of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. This unit of the university is spread in the centre of Aurangabad, Maharashtra and has been a hub of technology development for more than two decades. The department has a small area of coverage that is 0.266 acres which enable students to have easy learning environment. The department is fully equipped with a faculty of twelve members who prepares postgraduate programs in computer science and information technology. Recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) the institute has been successful in maintaining the standards in technical education & research. 

The department is proud to provide hi-tech amenities to the students. It has functional laboratory facilities equipped with features that offer practical experience in different areas of computer Science and information technology. The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology has four full time postgraduate programs as under: 

They are M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, M.Sc in Computer Science, M.Sc in Information Technology and M.Phil. The total approved intake for these courses is 114 students per year and there are enough prospects for the persons interested in technology education and careers to further their studies. All of these programs aim at providing students with the enhanced understanding and practical application to the dynamic technological world.
