Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

This University has its Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Bilaspur which is an important constituent college of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, formed in 1990. Its location is central to Chhattisgarh, making this institution one of the largest with the area space of 655 acres providing a quiet back ground to provide maximum attention to learning and research activities. The department, accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has itself in the list of fines Computer science department. Current head of the department is Arunima Malik with twelve members in the faculty currently, the department running four full time courses at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. These are B.Sc Computer Science (Hons), BCA, MCA and M.Sc Computer Science, all of which are geared towards affording students up to date education and training in the IT booming sector.

The department teaches four courses in which there is a total of 213 seats offered, and this show it intention of producing education to many IT potential candidates. The B.Sc Computer Science (Hons) has 75 seats, the BCA and MCA each have 60 seats, and the M.Sc Computer Science has 18 seats. All these courses are full time thereby allowing maximum and compact concentration on the part of the students.

For Undergraduate programs including B.Sc Computer Science (Hons) department accepts CUET UG, an ALL INDIA TEST for admission to Undergraduate programs.
