The Department of Engineering and Technology, JIS University, Kolkata, is a constituent college formed in 2015. Within a very short period, this institution, located at 81 Nilgunj Road, Agarpara, Kolkata, has grown into one of the prominent institutions in the field of technical education. JIS University is fully facilitated with the latest facilities working towards enriching the learning experience of the students. The department also offers a BCA programme for students who want to pursue computer applications. 

The Department of Engineering and Technology admission process is designed in a manner so that it would be thorough as well as fair. For BTech, the institute accepts the score of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination-WBJEE, which is a state-level entrance examination. This takes care of admitting only those students with a strong aptitude in mathematics and science for the technical programmes. Other factors include academic performance in 10+2 or any equivalent examination.
