The Department of Law at Madhav University, Sirohi got established in the year 2014 is a constituent college for the legal education in the Rajasthan, India. Situated in the beautiful locale of Madhav Hills near Ujjain, against the backdrop of the Banas River Bridge Toll on National Highway 27 this institution has been producing legal talents for nearly nine years. Approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the department offers many various law programmes including undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. Together, the Department of Law offers 7 courses and available in 5 degree levels to accommodate different focus within legal profession.

The main facility is a central library with an extensive collection of more than 20,000 books, e-journals or any journals the law students may require. As a part of the department, there is the moot court were student develops his or her skills of the advocacy in a mock court setting. To make learning relevant to students in the current society, the college offers solid IT support so that students can have convenient access to the current facilities and legal research databases. Toward growth and balance, the university campus has all kinds of sports facilities like basketball, badminton, football, cricket, and volley grounds that ensure student holistic development and dynamics.

It offers an array of 7 full-time courses; Under graduate programmes – LLB 3 yrs and BA LLB of 5 yrs with a sanctioned intake of 180. At postgraduate level what is offered in the department is LLM specialisations which include; Corporate and Commercial LLM, Criminal and Security LLM both having a seating capacity of sixty students each. For those intending to advance their legal education still further, there are Postgraduate Diploma courses in Labour Law and Cyber Law. The department also has a Doctor of Philosophy in Law programme for students who would wish to peruse a carrier in legal research and teaching. This broad range of courses within the department is evidence of the effort being placed in providing a broad spectrum of legal education.

Degree wise Admission Process
LLB: The department provides 3-year LLB course with an approved intake of 180 seats. The intake is most probably based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination. The eligibility includes a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
BA LLB is an integrated, 5-year approved program with intake capacity of 180 seats. The admission for this program goes on in exactly the same ways as for any LLB aspirant, usually on the base of 10+2 years from a valid board.
LLM Corporate and Commercial Law Postgraduate program holds an approved strength of 60 only. Admission of students is obviously on the scale of performance as for LLB or equivalent program.
LLB Criminal and Security Law: The other postgraduate program, and it offers 60 seats. The admissions criteria are exactly similar to LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law.
PGD Labour Law: A Postgraduate Diploma program, this one also, though intake cannot be stated explicitly, must rely on previous academics with relevance to the field for which the student seeks admission.
PGD Cyber Law: Another Postgraduate Diploma program with a similar admission process to the PGD in Labour Law.
Ph.D Law: The doctoral program admission is through an All India Entrance Test followed by a viva-voce examination. Candidates are selected based on merit in these assessments.
