Department of Management Studies was established in Kumaun University Bhimtal, and now it is the most significant constituent college of management higher education. Only thirty students are admitted into the MBA program. Entrance into the MBA course is due to the student's results in such national entrance exams as MAT, CMAT, or CAT. The selected candidates are then called for a group discussion and, thereafter, individual's interview. The final selection is based on the composite score from the student's performance in the entrance exam, GD, and PI.

MBA Integrated: The department also provides a 5-year MBA Integrated program. The admission process for this program involves conducting an entrance test, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates can appear in the selection/admission process subject to the rules of Kumaun University. This means an integrated program aimed at students who want to enter management education right after their higher secondary education.
