The Department of Management Studies, Kumaun University, Bhimtal is one of the reputed constituent colleges, was started in 1997. One of the recognised in the group of institutes in Nainital, Uttarakhand, in the line of management studies, it is approved by AICTE to maintain certain educational quality. The department houses a well-furnished auditorium and conference hall for academic discussions and guest lectures, supported by the latest audio-video aids, enough to accommodate over 200 persons.

The Department of Management Studies offers two full-time courses—2-year MBA and 5-year MBA Integrated. The intake for the MBA program is 30 students only, which is an intimate learning environment.

At the Department of Management Studies, admission is done in a very comprehensive way through the merit of the candidates. In the MBA programme, the students are selected through their valid MAT/CMAT/CAT scores, and on the basis of their performance in group discussions and personal interviews.The MBA Integrated program, the entry manner determined by Kumaun University, is through entrance examination, group discussion, and personal interview.
