The Devta College of Education and Research which is at Thane Maharashtra is an educational center that focuses on producing trained teachers. This affiliated college was set up in 2009 and has been preparing the future educators for more than ten years. Run by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provide a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course to the future teachers. Based on a 1.90 Hectare land, Devta College is a small College which is providing education to 184 learning students to keep it focused. With only 6 members as the faculty strength, the college promises to provide guiding hand to all its student. 

The college has various facilities provided with the intention of facilitating interaction between the students and improved performance. The campus has well designed classrooms with learning essentials to support classroom discussions and lectures. Instructionally, the college provides departmental laboratories in which the students can practice their research and practical training. The library plays a role of an information centre given it contains learning materials and various resources. In order to improve students’ physical activity and health, the college offers the possibility to use sports facilities and a gym. A campus facility used for group meetings, seminars and other related activities is available in enhancing the academic life of the students. It also embraces student healthcare through putting into place a medical center with the necessary amenities for first aid. Devta College of Education and Research offers only one program in B.Ed through full time mode of two years. Thus, as a ‘specialty’ college, it can direct its focus and skills to creating competent teachers and educators. B.ED program offered at Devta College is intended to offer students the knowledge and practical experience required for effective teaching. Though the number of total seats for the program is not clearly mentioned, the total student intake of the college is 184 which give a small class size so most probably the students may get more personal attention and may engage in more activities. 

Tuition to the B.Ed program, at Devta College of Education and Research, is subjected to merit, following the performance of the candidate at the degree level. In addition to extra credits awarded by respective university, college takes into account absolute percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in undergraduate programme.
