Dewan Law College, Meerut was established in the year 2004. The college is situated on the Delhi-Mussorie By Pass Road, NH-58, Partapur, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and it is affiliated with the Bar Council of India. DLC is spread over 6.62 acres of campus, offering four courses in law with a total student enrolment of 533. The faculty is strong with 20 members, making the student-to-teacher ratio very favorable.

Dewan Law College is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment for students, with a set of facilities for the maximal development of academics and personal growth. The College supports learning with a fully equipped library stocked with rich printed electronic books, journals, and databases on information in law and its allied subjects. Serving to develop their own practical training, DLC has a moot court, being an integral part of honing the legal skills of the students through the simulation of the systems of real courts. To the contrary, this campus also possesses modern IT infrastructure to have access to the students with digital resources and information technology-enhanced learning.

Dewan Law College provides four full-time courses in the programme levels of law from the undergraduate level to the postgraduate level. BA LLB, BA LLB—HAS, B.Com LLB, and LLB. The institute offers three 5-year integrated programs: BA LLB, B.Com LLB, and LLB. As one of the first-degree colleges in India, DLC offers a 2-year LLM program. An overall number of 360 seats are available for these undergraduate courses and additional seats for the LLM program. The purpose of these programs is to provide ample legal education both in theory and practical application in order to settle students in the messy legal environment. 

The admission in Dewan Law College is made through a merit based admission procedure and the college follows the guideline as per their affiliating university Chaudhary Charan Singh University that was formerly known as Meerut University. Admission to the Under Graduate Programs, namely BA LLB, B.Com LLB, and LLB, is based on merit alone of candidates in the qualifying examination. To ensure admission in LLM, candidates must pass an entrance examination conducted by CCS University. Eligibility for the LLM entrance test is 50 % for the general/OBC categories and approximately the same percentage for the SC and ST categories in a 3-year/5-year integrated law course. Evidence of DLC's commitment to the field of legal education can equally be seen in the attempts by DLC to create a heterogeneous learning environment that would in turn leave the learners better placed to bring in diversity at the workplace when challenged with the prospects and opportunities that could come with legal practice.
