This faculty is one of the premier dental institutions in the state of Gujarat, India. Since it is a constituent college of Dharmsinh Desai University, it offers quality education in dentistry with approval from DCI. The specializations in MDS include Conservative and Endodontics, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Periodontology, and Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge. Every MDS course has an approved intake capacity of 3 seats, ensuring very personalized attention to the students admitted and quality in their training.

Admission to postgraduate programs at Dharmsinh Desai University, Faculty of Dental Science, is merit-based and through a standardized procedure. In the case of MDS programs, admissions are made by the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for MDS, popularly known as NEET-MDS. The BDS course may also consider NEET scores for admission.
