Dhirendra Mahila Post Graduate College, Varanasi was established in the year 2003. It is situated at Sunderpur, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, at Karmajeetpur. DMPGC is a NCTE-approved college for women, offering 25 courses in 15 degrees. The college currently has over 35 faculties, with 3,805 students taking admission, giving aspiring female students a conducive atmosphere to learn. On looking at the courses available from undergraduate to postgraduate in arts, commerce, science, and education, one can easily sense the seriousness of the institution for studies. 

There is also a line up with a gamut of facilities to add an improving overall educational facility. DMPGC's academic portfolio is quite diverse with 25 courses on offer pertaining to various disciplines. These programs offer full-time undergraduate courses of studies—viz., B.Com, BA, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, BFA, B.Ed, B.P.Ed., and postgraduate courses such as M.Com, MA in a number of subjects, M.Sc, MFA, and M.L.I. Sc. The college also offers a D.El.Ed program. In this way, a wide variety of courses are offered through this college so that interests in several ways are taken well care of in this college. Although it is not available for what numbers of full-time, part-time, online, and regular courses are offered, but the college seems to be offering mainly full-time courses only and that too, on a campus. The intake is 3,805 with such huge student capacity. 

The admission process at Dhirendra Mahila Post Graduate College varies depending on the program. Admission to the B.Ed course will be on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the entrance exam and/or graduation. Selection for admission to the B.P.Ed course would entail passing a fitness test and interview.
