About Digital Institute of Science and Technology, Chhatarpur
DIST was established in 2008 and is an affiliated college of the Digital University of Science and Technology is located in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. Located at Nowgong Road with branch in Laipulia, this college is co–educational offering a broad spectrum of Undergraduate & Postgraduate Courses. DIST keenly occupies a small area of 1 acres and it has the entire enrolment of 434 students. It has 25 member faculty, ensuring every student of a good student faculty ratio. At present, DIST provides 15 courses in 8 degree programs for fields of Computer Applications, Business Administration, Sciences and Commerce.
Digital Institute of Science and Technology as learning institution is dedicated to ensuring that students get all round education. Facilities to help develop students’ academic and personal skills are also provided at the college. The library then provides learning resources for use in research and for learning. Accomodation of various sophisticated laboratory facilities offer practical lessons in the areas of science and engineering. There is also a cafeteria to hosted all the students as well as sports facilities to help students exercise as it is a necessity in everyone’s daily routine schedules and an auditorium where all the college functions and seminars are conducted. A emphasis is placed on it facility in order to improve the level of equipment, so that students could have an access to the up-to-date technologies. A learning environment is created with respect to classrooms so that teaching and learning process could be effective; additional activities focus on personal growth. A guest room is provided to the visiting faculty and families of the students as well as friends.
What dist offers actual in total is 15 courses and all of them are full time programmes. The course provides wide area of specialization and include – Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in the different fields such as computer science, computer application, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The institute also provides Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc), Master of Commerce (M.Com), and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA).
