The Directorate of Distance Education, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta (DDE-KU) is well known distance education university in Karnataka, India. This institute came into existence from Kuvempu University and is offering quality education to students who want to pursue their education in flexible ways. This is the DDE-KU of Shivamogga District, in Shankaraghatta and it has a UGC recognition which makes it valid plus it follows the education standards. The institute boasts of twenty courses thirty courses thirty 40 courses, and ten degree programs that are open to the students.
