Patna University Directorate of Distance Education (DDE PU) is one of the pioneer distance education institutions in the country. Elite DDE PU, located at the heart of Patna, Bihar state, is an integral part of this very parliamentarian-patronised elite university—one of the oldest universities in India.

DDE PU is committed to providing students with a good learning environment. Total emphasis on distance education by the institution points to the fact that there has to be a solid digital structure in place that supports it as well. This institute offers an array of 15 courses, all having the mode of delivery through the distance learning mode.
