DKT College of Education, Tirupur was established in 2004 the institution aims at determining the future of education. This co-educational college is established in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu and it is extended over an area of five acres of land where the students and faculties can effectively enhance their teaching educations. Being affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as a college the institution upholds good standards for teacher training programs. The institute is currently conducting three full time courses with 200 number of student enrolment for a staff of 23 well experienced faculty members.
The college has put up a number of facilities to ensure that the learning process of the students is improved through technology. At the center of these facilities is a modern library fitted with software to access, print, copy and scan. Non-fiction and reference books include 8,816 textbooks, 4,261 titles and 542 reference books apart from yearly subscription to different journals, magazines and digital databases. Regarding practical atmosphere, the college offers departmental laboratories to let the students practice what is being taught in class.
DKT College of Education provides a narrow specialisation on some courses in education to different levels of teaching credentials. The institute provides three full-time programs. The some of the certification that are offered to the student includes Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed), and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The B.Ed program which has 100 intake of the students lies at the core of the college and it aims at preparing teachers for teaching at secondary school level. The M.Ed program is established for 50 students with focus on acquiring higher level of knowledge and researching in the field of education.

Admission policy at DKT College of Education is based on merits which are as per the policies of the state government, university/UT administration. For B.Ed programme, admission is done with reference to marks obtained in the qualifying test and or entrance test. The pattern of entry into the M.Ed program is also similar depending on ones performance and maybe an entrance test. The D.El.Ed course also set standard on merit through the scores obtained in the qualifying examination or any other selection mode as per government norms.
